Anytime you begin something new, you start to think about how you got there and why you got there and so on. I've recently been accepted into the Kinesiology program at the University of Guelph-Humber, and thinking back to my high school days, this was something I never thought I'd be able to say. Growing up, I didn't even plan on getting passed high school, let alone College, starting my own business and going for a degree in a field that 5 years ago I had no intention of being in. Since the age of three, I drew pictures, and that's all I did. in high school, I still drew pictures, and started working out cuz I was skinny little boy who wanted some pipes. The only reason I ended up doing any sort of post-secondary education was to draw better pictures... which ultimately ended up with me getting so frustrated that I worked out every day and eventually dropped out of school, only to come back a year and a half later with a focus, a drive, a goal to succeed. I guess the point I'm trying to make today is to keep your mind open because you never know where life is gonna take you, and it may even take to somewhere better than you wanted to originally go. I couldn't be happier with where my life is right now and all the people involved in getting me to where I am today. Sure there will be obstacles, and believe me I've had my fair share of them, but in the long run, the fight will be worth it. I made it... now it's your turn, and since tomorrow's my birthday, I'm going to go celebrate it now!
Tear it up people!
