When you work in the industry I work in, you get A LOT of excuses:" I'm not feeling good", "I have so much work to do", " It's been a long day and I'm just gonna go straight home". Excuses are a dime a dozen and at the end of the day, they do little to help reach your goals. If you are truly passionate about something, if you're serious about what you want and making sure you get it, nothing, especially an excuses shouldn't get in your way. I'm not saying life is easy, because it's not, and it shouldn't be. We are designed to be challenged, and more importantly to overcome those challenges. That's what creates integrity. You'll be better off in the end if you look past those feelings and thoughts and say,"I'm gonna do what I originally set out to do, and I will succeed no matter what". Remember, if a goal is worth it, you should feel a little uncomfortable about it, and I'm not just talking about working out here. This can apply to anything. Your body and mind are used to everything being done a certain way, and to reach a new goal or target, you have to change something about what you're doing, which your body at first will not like. BUT THIS IS A GOOD SIGN. It means you're doing what you want and need to do to reach the goal. In a weird way, it actually means you're on the right track. So instead of running from the first sign of resistance, embrace and acknowledge it, strategize and overcome it, and move onto the next challenge until you get there. You hear the saying,"life's a journey, not a destination"...guess what? There's a reason that saying exists. Without the struggle, the blood, sweat, tears, and discomfort/pain, it's almost like you don't deserve the end result or you were somewhat cheated from a real victory. So I'm asking you... please don't cheat yourself out of the victory you truly deserve. EARN IT!
