Happy Canada Day!
So I'm sitting in a lawn chair with my laptop right now while I'm in the midst of my week off, and I must be one of the lucky ones because I can't wait to get back at it when this week is done. Now it doesn't help that I don't have full use of my right hand either, but it does put things in perspective. A few blogs ago I talked about that balance and finding time to relax. Now I'm gonna hit the flipside of that. As I sit her after not working out for almost two weeks, I'm starting to see how it's affecting everything else in my life. This last week especially I've been feeling more frustrated than anything else and I've noticed I haven't really been myself with the people around me. Under normal circumstances, whenever I would be angry or stressed for whatever reason, I would storm off to the nearest gym and work out my frustrations... and would have some of my best workouts too! All of a sudden, it feels like it's all building up and I don't have my adrenaline fix, my usual outlash (is that a word?...well it is now!). So I guess the moral of the story, if any, is go to the gym! It's a great stress reliever, and you get fit at the same time. Win win situation. If the weights or machines aren't for you, try the classes or training sessions. There are many ways to get out there and POSITIVELY relieve stress. So get out there and get out of that comfort zone of yours and try something new and exciting, it'll take your mind off everything else and will more than likely make you feel a hell of a lot better.
