Hey Guys!

I wanna start this bog off with what happened today. I was in a business meeting with a guy that reminded me why I do what I do. The guy's name is Joe Drexler and owns a business named "Be The Game", and his mantra is the title of this blog. What they do at Be The Game is create merchandise for sale with proceeds going to helping kids realize their dreams and get into sports they may not afford to be a part of. I think this is utterly great because it not only helps kids realize their dreams, but it also gets them off their butts to get to where they wanna go. In the sedentary world we live in we need to make our future stronger...literally. We need our kids to get out there and be more active instead of buying them Playstations and iPhones. My 5 year old godson was given a playstation portable for christmas last year, and since then I haven't seen him go anywhere without it. His 11 year old brother also has his own laptop. Same thing. When I was 11, I had a tape walkman, a typewriter, and a bicycle... which were all too heavy to take everywhere I went! If we want things to change for the better, we need to do our part to get kids involved in ACTIVE activities. I've trained young soccer and basketball teams and have seen the potential some of these kids have to excel not just on the ice/field/court, but also in school and work environments. We just need to give them that chance.

Thanks Joe, for reminding me why I do what I do and why I love it so much.
